About the role:
We are looking for a Material Planner to join our Operations team working with both the Production department (Electric Motor Bike) and Supply Chain.
You will be responsible for helping to manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules. Your scope will also include determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments and managing external stakeholder relations
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure quantity demand from production, commercial and engineering departments is fully supported.
- Deliver material planning status through data driven support to management to help make purchasing decisions.
- Manage master purchasing data to optimally reflect capability and plan supply of materials.
- Use the Material Resource Planning(MRP) system to control inventory and manage production output.
- Apply analytics to manage system parameters and meet target inventory goals while minimizing cost.
- Coordinate supplier ramp up and down, ensure supplier delivers shipments needed for production targets.
- Build and maintain partnerships with suppliers. Act as an interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues arising and escalate risks to management.
- Responsible for sourcing new products, replacements of existing products, and second-source alternatives
- Interface with customers, suppliers and engineers to perform and maintain purchasing and warranty/repair issues
- Oversee inventory acquisition of components used in production lines of various systems.
- Developing material specifications based on client needs and ensuring that materials meet those specifications
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 years’ experience in supply chain/ Production material planning
- Must have a relevant bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
